"Psp Recal Calcium Hydroxide Liner
Introduction:
Recal is a two paste, Radiopaque calcium hydroxide composition. It serves as a protective barrier between the dentine and pulp and acid containing cements and restorative materials. It is a rigid, self-setting material and may be used under acrylic and composite restorations.
Directions;
Remove all decay and dry cavity. Dispense equal volumes of base and catalyst (1.17:1.00 by weight) onto the mixing pad. Mix thoroughly in brisk circular motion until a uniform colour is obtained; do not over-Spatulate. To obtain maximum working time, mixing should be completed within 10 seconds. Apply the mixed material into the cavity as soon as possible after mixing. A ball-pointed instrument is useful for placing the mix into the cavity and spreading over the floor to the required depth. After mixing, Recal will provide 2 mins to 2 mins 30secs working time at normal room temperature (22C with 50% relative humidity). The setting time is shorter in the mouth due to moisture and temperature."
